Vision Academy Parents as Partners (VAPP)
Vision Academy is part of the National Network of Partnership Schools (NNPS) based at Johns Hopkins University. The purpose of Vision Academy Parent Partners (VAPP) is to work in partnership with the administration, teachers, and parents for the continuous improvement of the Vision Academy Charter School Community. The VAPP develops an annual partnership and parent engagement plan to ensure a welcoming school climate and to conduct engagement activities linked to academic and behavioral goals for students in our School Improvement Plan.
VAPP uses research-based strategies to effectively engage parents in their children’s education. Student achievement is a team effort that is best achieved when all members of the team – parents/guardians, students, and school staff — are working toward the same goals.
